Valve Sealing Surface Corrosion Protection

Challenge

Valve sealing areas are exposed to corrosion, erosion and repeated mechanical contact. The deposited layer must follow the sealing geometry and retain sufficient allowance for final machining.

Material & Process

Cladding alloy and process parameters are selected for the service medium, base material and required surface properties. Dilution, layer uniformity and distortion are evaluated during sample validation.

LZ Optical Configuration

The solution combines a suitable cladding head, beam profile, powder delivery system and programmed motion path for the sealing face or internal surface.

Result

A continuous functional layer can be deposited on the target area with controlled heat input and machining allowance. The final specification is confirmed through application testing.
