Oil & Gas Component Localized Repair
Challenge
Oil and gas components often experience localized corrosion, erosion and wear on high-value surfaces. Repair must focus energy on the damaged zone and accommodate complex component geometry.
Material & Process
Base material, service environment, damage depth and coating requirements are reviewed before selecting the cladding alloy and deposition parameters. Samples can be prepared for metallurgical and dimensional evaluation.
LZ Optical Configuration
The system is configured with an internal- or external-surface cladding head, appropriate beam shaping, powder or wire delivery, shielding gas and coordinated motion.
Result
Localized material can be deposited only where repair or protection is required, leaving a controlled allowance for finishing. Production parameters are finalized after process qualification.
