Material composition, target hardened depth, surface geometry and allowable heat input are reviewed before developing the scanning path, spot shape and process parameters.

LZ Optical Configuration

A beam-shaping hardening head provides a circular, square, rectangular or variable spot matched to the treatment area. The head is integrated with suitable motion, cooling and process controls.

Result

Selected surfaces can be hardened through controlled laser heating and motion. Final hardness profile and treatment depth are established through sample validation and inspection.
